Energy saving
Aiming to achieve greater comfort and energy savings, Mitsubishi Electric proudly presents a revolutionary new system control. This is based on data indicating that a 1°C reduction in flow temperature improves the coefficient of performance (COP) of an air-to-water (ATW) system by 2%. This means that energy savings are dramatically affected by controlling the flow temperature in the system.
2 zone control
The simultaneous creation of two different temperature zones ensures more comfortable and particularly convenient heating. ecodan provides the possibility to define two temperatures, which are used in two different types of heating systems. The system allows for temperature adjustments when different room temperatures are required, such as a temperature of 60°C for living room radiators and a temperature of 35°C for underfloor heating.
Automatic switching
The flexibility of ecodan intelligent control allows the system to be combined with the boiler already in use. In addition, the control system can choose which heat source (ecodan or boiler) will work depending on the conditions. Customers who use a boiler can take advantage of this function of ecodan and save energy.
Control of multiple units.
Thanks to the ability to control multiple units, ecodan can be used in large spaces. For example, even in large spaces that require a large heat load such as residential complexes, offices and shops, the ecodan multi-unit installation with centralized multi-unit control management ensures optimal heating control and achieves impressive comfort and energy savings.
Unique Zubadan technology
In classic inverter technology, the performance of the pump as well as the temperature of its production water depends dramatically on the ambient operating conditions.
Zubadan technology thanks to flash injection provides the solution, with stable performance in every operating condition up to -15ºC with the highest degree of performance compared to any other technology. It puts an end to the over-dimensioning of units, the uncertainty of good performance and gives a “Guaranteed solution” to the consumer.
Flash Injection Technology
The Flash Injection Circuit is an original technology developed by Mitsubishi Electric. A heat exchange process at point A (intermediate exchanger) converts the liquid refrigerant into a gas-liquid two-phase state and then compresses the gas-liquid refrigerant at point B (spray compressor). This circuit ensures sufficient coolant flow for heating when outside temperatures are very low. In the new generation Zubadan, the Flash Injection circuit is more powerful having an improved intermediate exchanger to increase heat exchange efficiency and featuring a new injection compressor to increase compression efficiency. These two improvements of the new Zubadan generation ensure reliable and efficient heating operation at very low outside temperatures.
